Using Lego bricks for different purposes
The use of Lego bricks is naturally integrated in the carrusel activities that they carry out in the classroom. As you may know, our school Santísima Trinidad in Salamanca and Ynystawe Primary School are inmersed in the Erasmus + KA2 project 'Creating Tomorrow's School Today' which is mainly about the use of different resources, such as Lego Education sets.
This photo shows how they used Lego Bricks for counting in 5's. Some pupils were struggling and they used the bricks as a tangible material to count.
In this photo, they were building ideas related with deforestation:
And in this one, a SENCO teacher was working with some sounds that a boy was struggling with. Manipulating the bricks the pupil remembered better those sounds and how to produce them:

Astronaut skills
Here you have which I think is a great Science activity if you are teaching The Space topic with your pupils. Here you have the instructions and some photos.
As you can imagine they were all really engaged in the activity.
Descriptions of animals, guess what animal is it
As I have already stated in the previous post, in Ynystawe Primary School, they work in a cross curricular way trying to connect the different subjects and bringing them together into one task.
Here you have another example of that.
Year 6 pupils were learning about the animals in the Galápagos Islands ( they had watched a video the day before) and then, they were given some worksheets with animal facts on them. They had to describe one of those animals with their own words and then, their classmates had to guess what animal it was. They also swapped the descriptions and they had to edit or mark their classmates descriptions.
